It certainly can’t hurt to have some fresh air being produced inside. More buildings are going to energy and green techniques, making them air tight to outside elements. Having plants inside will absolutely improve the air quality. There are a couple of plants that produce oxygen only at night. They would be a good addition to your list, specifically sprouts.

The positive effects of plants indoor are unbelievably undeniable. In our home, we use real plants to deodorize it. Flowering plants are natural air fresheners. Aside from that it greatly lessen the stress in the area. Try it to believe!

I’ve found that ficus trees don’t particularly like to be moved. For ficus trees that have dropped their leaves, I’ve had good luck with putting them in good sunlight and pruning them back a bit (just a little ways from where each leaf dropped off). I did this one year and -presto!- leaves popped right out in days.

I agree that the majority of seniors need better pensions. Most people are just not saving enough for their retirement and living on $16-19k/year is really.. well, close to impossible without some other sort of aid from relatives or others. Something needs to be done. -Jason
