On occasion we rent a timeshare together (we use http://www.redweek.com for very inexpensive ones), and split the cost so often it only costs each of us $25/night. We get one within close driving distance, and even though we don't go far, staying at a resort makes us feel like we've been a world away. This is a very fun way to have a great, cheap, vacation.
